This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchStall (“LaunchStall”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use launchstall.com and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Information from Google Sign-In. When you sign in with Google, we receive only the following from your Google account:
- your name,
- your email address and whether it is verified,
- your profile picture URL, and
- your Google account identifier (a unique ID that lets us recognise you on your next sign-in).
We request only the basic openid, email and profile scopes. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data, and we never receive your Google password.
Information you provide. Product listings (name, website, description, images, video links, FAQs), comments, profile details (username, bio, website), and messages you send us.
Activity on the Service. Upvotes, comments, saved products, daily check-ins and streak progress, credits earned and spent, referral links used, and launch and ad bookings.
Usage analytics. To show makers how their pages perform, we record page views and website clicks with a daily-rotating, one-way hashed visitor identifier and the referring site. We do not store raw IP addresses for analytics.
Payments. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. We receive order status and amounts; we do not receive or store your full card details.
2. How we use information
- to create and secure your account and keep you signed in;
- to display your public profile, launches, comments and achievements;
- to run weekly launches, rankings, streaks, credits, referrals and ad bookings;
- to process payments and provide receipts through our payment provider;
- to verify that free-listing badges are present on makers’ websites;
- to prevent fraud, vote manipulation and abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service;
- to respond to support requests.
3. Google user data
LaunchStall’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we use Google user data only to authenticate you and to show your name and picture on your LaunchStall profile. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train AI or machine-learning models, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or where required by law.
4. What is public
Your name, username, profile picture, bio, website, launched products, comments, upvote counts and achievements are visible to everyone. Your email address is never shown publicly. Which products you upvoted is not published.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- service providers that host and operate the Service (hosting, database, storage) under confidentiality obligations;
- Dodo Payments, to process purchases you make;
- authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and LaunchStall.
6. Cookies and local storage
- Session cookie (strictly necessary) keeps you signed in.
- Referral cookie remembers a referral link for up to 30 days so the referrer can be credited.
- Theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage.
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Retention
We keep account information while your account is active. Public launch pages are kept so that links to them keep working. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes (such as order records).
8. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile at any time from Settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@launchstall.com.
- Revoke LaunchStall’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights; we honour them for all users.
9. Security
Sessions are stored as hashed tokens, connections are encrypted in transit, uploaded images are re-encoded to strip hidden data, and access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify signed-in users on the Service.
